By paying your deposit & booking with Castaways at Filey you are agreeing to the following......

BOOKING -

  • Family Hire Only, No all-male or female parties.
  • Castaways at Filey reserve the right to terminate your accommodation if, in their opinion, any person behaves in a way prejudicial to the well-being of others. No refund of any monies will be offered should this happen.
  • The total number of persons staying in the caravan shall in no circumstances exceed the capacity of the holiday home, only persons named on the booking form will be permitted to stay.
  • Any breakages or damage to either the contents or structure of the caravan must be reported and may be chargeable, allowances are made for accidents.
  • Although cleaners are employed, it is the responsibility of the hirer to maintain the caravan and its contents to a reasonable standard during their stay. Should the hirer fail to do this, and the caravan is left unable to be re-let, we are entitled to recover reasonable repair expenses and any loss of rent.
  • No Pet Allowed at any time in the Caravan. Failure to abide by this policy will result in your holiday being cancelled.
  • By confirming a booking, you are responsible for your party and their conduct and agree to abide by the site rules.
  • Castaways at Filey do not accept any responsibility or liability for any injury, damage or loss caused to any person/persons or property belonging to the hirer or any third party during their stay.
  • The hirer is responsible for taking out their own private insurance to cover their own personal items/contents during their stay.
  • Any complaints regarding the accommodation or any shortage or defects must be reported within 24 hours of arrival otherwise, we will be unable to investigate the matter properly.
  • There is a strict No Smoking Policy anywhere, within the Caravan. Any damage caused to the Decking Area by cigarette burns will be chargeable to the hirer, for repair of the damage. All cigarette butts must be disposed of in the correct manner.
  • The hirer may arrive no earlier than 3pm, the holiday home must be vacated no later than 9am on your departure day. Please return the caravan key to the key safe on departure. If these times are not adhered to an extra days rent may be charged.
  • We offer a 24-hour arrival system as the caravan key is located in a key safe at the caravan.
  • In the unlikely event that you have any problems with your gas, water or electric supply during the evening there is 24-hour site security available. The number can be found on your holiday confirmation and should be on a poster inside our holiday home.
  • Should you wish to use Havens facilities i.e. club, pool, amusements etc you will need to purchase passes from reception. These are not included in the cost of your holiday. Please contact us for the prices.

DEPOSITS-

  • All deposit and balance payments are non-refundable. Should you cancel after you have paid your balance, we will only offer a refund if we are able to re-let the caravan for your reserved dates. In all cases your deposit is non-refundable. You are advised to take out your own insurance to cover this.
  • A non-returnable deposit of £50 is payable per caravan per week/short break, in leaving a deposit you agree to pay your outstanding balance in full 6 weeks prior to your holiday date. Should you fail to pay this we will re-let your reserved dates without any notification.

PAYMENTS - We have 3 payment options

  1. Payment in full at time of booking
  2. £50 deposit at time of booking then the remaining balance paid 6 weeks before your holiday.
  3. £50 deposit at time of booking followed by monthly payments with your final payment paid 6 weeks before your holiday.

CANCELLATIONS –

If you cancel your booking, then your deposit won’t be refunded. If you have paid your full balance

or part of the balance then we will refund your money as soon as we resell those dates. If we can’t re-sell the dates no refund will be given, except in extreme circumstances.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE DAY –

Check in times are 3pm onwards

Departure time is 9am.

OVER CROWDING –

The caravan is 6 berth, which means max people allowed is 6,

if over-crowding is suspected then you will be asked to leave immediately.

KEYS –

The caravan keys are located in a key safe next to the caravan, please remember to put them back in the safe at the end of your stay.

PARKING

There is a car parking space very near to the caravan

HEATING

Please check you have switched the heating off before your departure.

The caravan must be left as it was found i.e. pots/pans washed/dried and put away, bins emptied and rubbish removed.

SMOKING

STRICTLY NO SMOKING in the caravan at all.

Please dispose of any Cigarette Butts in the correct manner.

Any damage caused to the Decking Area from Cigarette Burns will be chargeable to the Hirer.

No disposable BBQs allowed on the decking at any time.

CASTAWAYS AT FILEY

  • We cannot accept liability for problems outside of our reasonable control such as breakdowns of domestic appliances, plumbing etc, although every effort will be made to rectify problems as soon as possible.
  • Any complaints regarding the accommodation or any shortage or defects must be reported within 24 hours of arrival otherwise, we will be unable to investigate the matter properly.
  • Castaways at Filey do not accept any responsibility or liability for any injury, damage or loss caused to any person/persons or property belonging to the hirer or any third party during their stay.

COMPETITIONS -

  • Competitions where a free stay shall be given will run in conjunction & be subject to the standard hire Terms & Conditions
  • The winning customer will be subject to pay the usual Security Deposit charged by the hirer and will be refunded within the normal 7 days after leaving the property once the cleaner has checked the property over
  • Dates will be selected by the hirer & should the dates not be suitable we may look at providing alternative dates should they be available
  • Dates cannot be within Peak period such as School/Bank Holidays

 

DATA(GDPR) -

  • By sending an enquiry or paying your deposit you are giving us permission to store your details in compliance with the new GDPR (Data Protection) laws effective May 2018"

 

If any faults occur, please inform us and we will do our best to sort it ASAP.

 

Our holiday home is privately owned. With that said, this is our second home and must be treated with respect. Please leave our caravan as you would wish to find it, ensure it is clean and tidy on departure – all pots are washed/put away and all rubbish has been removed and that you have secured the Caravan before leaving – All windows shut, and door locked.
